Your Role at Cybrella

As a Junior SOC Analyst, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats, responsible for monitoring security alerts, investigating potential incidents, and escalating threats as needed. Working under the guidance of senior analysts, you will develop your skills in log analysis, threat hunting, and security incident response, contributing to the protection of critical systems and data.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor SIEM dashboards and security alerts, analyzing suspicious activities and identifying potential security incidents.
• Assist in log analysis, network traffic monitoring, and endpoint security investigations.
• Support threat intelligence gathering and security event correlation to detect malicious activities.
• Escalate verified security threats to senior analysts for in-depth investigation and response.
• Document security events, prepare incident reports, and contribute to playbooks and response procedures.
• Assist in malware analysis, vulnerability assessments, and forensic investigations as needed.
• Work collaboratively with senior SOC analysts and security engineers to strengthen overall cybersecurity defenses.
• Stay up to date with emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and security trends.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking highly motivated, detail-oriented individuals who are eager to learn and grow in the field of cybersecurity. A strong foundational understanding of security concepts, networking, and threat detection is essential for success in this role.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• 0-2 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related IT field.
• Basic knowledge of SIEM platforms, security monitoring, and log analysis.
• Familiarity with common cyber threats, attack techniques, and security tools.
• Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
• Ability to analyze security events and assist in incident response procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in threat detection and analysis.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 SOC environment (shifts may be required).

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight, or other SIEM tools.
• Knowledge of malware analysis, threat intelligence, and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or SANS GSEC (preferred but not required).
